Objectives of the lesson	By the end of the lesson, students should be able to: -          Talks delivered in public on formal and informal occasions. -          Types of speeches – welcome speech/thank you speech/ farewell speech -          To begin, you have to address your audience in correct manner. (consider who they are first before you address them) Examples: -          The principal, teachers and fellow friends/ students…(at officials school functions) -          Mr. Chairman, ladies and gentlemen…(at an official function or society meeting) -          Yang Berhormat Datuk/Tan Sri, ladies and gentlemen…(if there is a distinguished guest)
Lesson Development	1.       Introduction (Brief Details) -          Welcome or greeting (Good morning/Afternoon) – school function -          On behalf of the school – extended a warm welcome to school -          Come from? -          They are (introduce six foreign students) 2.       Body/Content: -          Just arrived in Malaysia – staying for one year -          Staying with their foster families -          They will be placed with the Form 3 students -          Objective for their stay – to experience – the Malaysian way of live (food and culture) -          To study the curriculum adopted in school -          To get accepted into the exchange students programme all the six students had to undergo a series of test (there were -          many applications) -          so very honored to have students who excel academically and also in sports, 3.       Conclusion: -          They had make certain sacrifices -          Not make their efforts be in vain -          Join hands in making their stay  happy  - memorable
