Objectives of the lesson

Use the present perfect tense is made up of:
§  Has/have + past participle (active form)
§  Has/have + been + past participle (passive form)
 
Lesson Development
v  To refer to a recently completed action.
Examples:
1. The train from Peneng has just arrived.
2. The house next door has recently been sold.
v  To refer to a past action which occurred at an unspecified or unknown time.
Examples:
1. Have you read ‘Treasure Island’, yet?
2. Ann has been to Perth many times.
v  To refer to a past action that is counting at the moment of speaking.
Examples:
1. I have lived in this house since I was five.
2. Mrs. Gan has taught in this school for many years.
